President's Message

Thank you to all of the members, spouses, kids, dogs, etc. who participated in the various chapter activities of the last month. A big THANK YOU to John Silcox (past president) for promoting chapter involvement m the annual MS Walk on 4/01/01, Terry Bussard (PR committee) for organizing the coed teen softball and volleyball games and catered lunch at the Polinsky Children's Center on 3124/01, and John Baldwin, Mike Anderson and Ladd Carlson (entertainment committee) for organizing bowling on 3/16/01 and tickets to the Padres opening day on 4/13/01 and the Sky Show on 6/15/01. Also, thank you A.J. Wilson for organizing the Region 7 Golf Tournament. As you can see, good things happen when good people step forward. Ask a board member how you can help.

Rick Bishop (Region 7 Director) continues to lead the effort to develop the Water Watcher Cards in partnership with the San Diego Safe Kids Coalition. The cards raise the public's (can you say client's?) awareness of water safety, IPSSA and the professionalism of your business. We are cautiously optimistic that the cards will be available at our general meeting on 4/18/01. Five free cards will be given to each member. Additional cards will be available for purchase at cost. I plan to pick up 125 (one for each client plus extras for prospects). Bring your check book.

Jon
