The annual Region 7 picnic was great according to my wife and six-year
old son. I
Please plan on attending the general meeting on September 20th. John and Jon will be speaking on time management. They will also comment on the Board of Region Director's meeting held on August 26th. One of the topics will be the changes in licensing requirements approved by the BORD (see the September issue of the Ippsan). A benefit of time management is the ability to take a vacation. I will
be on vacation from September 14th to the 26th. This is the first of four
weeks that I will take before the end of the year. I only say this to remind
some of you that it is OK to take time off. You deserve it.

Shari Shipley with Life Sharing Community Organ Donations showed us how many lives you can touch by donating organs. It is very important that you discuss organ donation with your family. If they don't know your wishes, it can't happen without there permission. Paul Grimes let everyone take a look at the internet site "ON THE BIG SCREEN". It looks terrrific, you need to get your company information to Paul in order to take advantage of this excellent opportunity. Marty Fisher introduced the new Sta-Rite heater. "Heater in The Round". Very interesting product. Secretary's Report June lileeting minutes were accepted as printed in the Skimmer. Treasurer's Report We're looking good financially. We sent a $1,000.00 check to the Dan Moelke Scholarship Fund. See Skimmer for report details. Chapter Supporter Adds will be dropped if annual checks are not received. President's Report Pick up copies of standing rules, Region 7 Review, IPSSA Inc. hoard mtg. minutes. There will he a BORD meeting at Humphreys, Shefter Island. Everyone should consider going. We will raffle off an A.O. Smith motor. See you there 08/26/00. Sally Ryan will be retiring, she may only work part time, her replacement's name is Kim. Vice President's Report Bulletin boards & banners should be up at all supply houses. John Cook of the Escondido chapter started an apprenticeship program, This is for new applicants that do not have the mandatory time of experience. Mike will be taking a look at this program, we may modify it and give it a try. Sick Leave Get those Blue cards in and keep your yellow cards updated. Hopefully Howard will he back in 2 to 3weeks. Blood Drive Next one: August 26, 2000. Continuing Education Check out those contractor schools. We have the forms, we will notify you if you need to take care of this. Blue cards received by the secretary; Steve Lenz, 7/1 7/00. Alan Jaquish 7/21/00. In the future please send these to the sick leave chairnian. I reviewed attendance records for the 2nd. quarter, some of you did not make it to a meeting. Treasurer's Report Mark presented his monthly report of income and expenses. As always we are in good shape financially. (See Skimmer for the detailed report). We received a reflind of $1,472.50 from IPSSA Inurrance. Vice President's Report Mike is checking out an apprenticeship program, We will be putting this program together. Guest speakers in Sept. John & Jon will be putting on a seminar on Time Management. Which John & Jon you ask? Come to the meeting, all of us needs to know how to manage our time better. We will be sending out thank you letters to people who speak at our meetings. President's Report Jon will be trying to encourage more members to join some of our committies.
We need to expand some of them, so there is not so much work load on one
or two members.
