I hope to see you all at the meeting on February 16th. A representative of the CHP's Motor Carrier Division will be speaking on transportation, storage, etc., of hazardous products. Copies of material Safety Data Sheets will be on hand for distribution to you. The idea is to keep a packet of MSD Sheets in your truck at all times. Special thanks to Tom Gharib and Perry Mediate for setting this up. I am pleased to announce that Paul Grimes will create, manage and host a web internet site for the chapter. The site will help market you and the chapter to the public. It will also provide chapter information to you. Paul will provide a synopsis of the site at the meeting. It was stressed at the IPSSA Region 7 board meeting that "members shall

Called to order 7:20 PM Greeters: Ladd Carlson and Art Novello. There were 46 members and 5 guests in attendance. Introduction of Guests Honorary Members Al Daugherty & Dick Church were present. Also attending prospective member Steven Alix & Scott Alix, Bradon Chase of Sun Chasers, David Courey of P52000, Michele Howard of Teledyne Laars/Jandy. Guest Speakers "Ask The Experts" We had lively discussions on several topics. As the series progresses
it should be beneficial to all of us.
Secretary's Report Acceptance of November meeting minutes. Treasurer's Report Marc Stewart gave the Income and Expense Report for December, it was accepted and is printed in this months Skimmer (printed version only). President's Report Jon Rumble tells us Arrow Insurance has a website and there are
3,288 members in IPSSA. We received $315 in donation at the December
Dinner/Dance.
The MS. Walk - walk around the bay is coming up. Last year 15 members participated. We hope to double that this year. See skimmer for details. Vice President's Report Mike Gregg Introduced Steven & Scott Alix as prospective new members.
This was there 1st. meeting. Next month we will have a member of the California
Highway Patrol speaking to us regarding the transportation of hazardous
materials.
COMMITTEE REPORTS Sick Leave Nelson Groff will be having surgery to repair a disc in his back. He is expected to retun to work by the end of February. FEBRUARY 16, 2000 - BLUE CARDS ARE DUE. We need your new area codes if applicable to you. New yellow cards are available - see Jim Hines Entertainment Committee 101 people attended the December dinner/dance. Blood Drive Next Blood drive will be February 19, 2000. Pete Reinhart, a member of the Carlsbad chapter has brain cancer. Pete is 36 yrs. old and has three children. So lets donate blood in his name. Pete can use all the help we can give him. So lets show him what the San Diego chapter is all about. See Phil Gardiner for more details. Continuing Education Addendum to sick leave and standing rules - Pick up your copy. You must fill out the back of the yellow card completely. There are fines if you don't. CPR Class Feb.19, 2000 Bill Peck picked up his check for $74.50 for an electrical course. Mike Gregg was presented a certificate of appreciation for leading a seminar. WESTERN POOL & SPA SHOW. Cost: $45.00. IPSSA will pay! so get in your application.
Committee members Marc Curran and Jon McArthur reminds us to keep turning in those invoices. The monies are used for the Chapter's Education Fund. Grievance Mark Overman would like to expand the program. i.e. putting pressure on manufacturers to improve products. Give Mark a call if you have helpful suggestions Product testing Pat Farrior will report on CF-138 next month.

omitted.
Discussed procedure for new member testing. When should we test? There will be further discussion. President's Report Jon McArthur is looking for volunteers to speak to the health department regarding water chemistry. Especially those of you with commercial pools. A motion was made and carried to set up a chapter web site for a six month trial period. Costs not to exceed $500 set up fee and $100 per mo. A van will be rented to take members to the Western Pool & Spa Show. Need a minimum of 8 members max. cost $300. New Business None. Adjourned 10:27 p.m.
